You Ask, I Answer.
The most common questions people ask me about side hustles, making money online, and why I'm still in Lohatlha.
“Is this actually legit? It sounds like a scam.”
I get it—the internet is full of "gurus" promising Ferraris. My goal is the opposite. I share methods that I’ve personally tested (or thoroughly researched). If something is risky or pays pennies, I’ll tell you straight up. Remember: I’m the guy who shared my **$4.76 failure** first! I have no reason to lie to you.
“Are these methods available worldwide or just in South Africa?”
Most methods I share are global (like freelancing, blogging, or affiliate marketing). However, because I live in Lohatlha, I specifically look for things that work for people in developing countries or smaller villages who only have a smartphone. I’ll always specify "SA Only" if it is.
“How much can I realistically earn?”
This is the $1 million question. Realistically? Most side hustles start at $5 - $50 per week in the beginning.
Warning: Anyone promising you $1,000/day with "one click" is lying to you. Making real money takes consistent effort, even in the digital village.
“How do I get paid? I don't have a PayPal.”
Most global hustles pay via PayPal or Payoneer. If you can't get those, I also cover methods that pay in Gift Cards or directly into your bank account via local apps. Check my "Hustle Tools" section for a guide on setting up your payment accounts!
“Do I need money to start these hustles?”
Short Answer: No. 90% of the methods I talk about are $0 startup cost. You just need your phone, an internet connection, and some time. If a hustle requires a "joining fee," I usually stay away from it because those are often MLM schemes.
“I only have a cheap smartphone. Can I still do this?”
Absolutely. Most of my own early wins were on a basic Android phone. As long as you have a browser and a decent data connection, you can hustle. In fact, mobile-only hustles are my specialty!
“Why are you sharing this? Why not keep the money to yourself?”
Because there’s enough for everyone! The internet is massive. Plus, I love writing and I still want to be an actor one day. Sharing these hustles helps me build a community and earn AdSense revenue, which pays for my own hustle expenses. It's a win-win!
“Wait, so where exactly is Lohatlha?”
Haha! It's a small village in the Northern Cape, South Africa. It’s quiet, dusty, and beautiful. If you ever visit, bring extra data—the signal can be tricky sometimes!
